WHEREABOUTS

Meet the happy brooms
The brooms came to me in the city of Kyoto, as I was looking for a studio to work in. I arrived in Kyoto on February 9, from Bucharest romania, via Paris. My first time in Japan. As soon as I bought my first two onigiri’s and a cold green tea at the airport konbini, my soul felt it had arrived home.
The zine is printed in riso by Akinobu Oda, and it was presented at the Tokyo Art Book Fair that year with my friends from 3FPJ ed.
The original English text is translated into Japanese and Korean, forming a quiet bridge between these two nations shaped by a difficult common past.
